How to start a Computer Networking Career?

I have an ociates Degree in Computer Repair with A+ Certification and Network + Certification. I graduated four years ago and I never worked in my field and got stuck working in a coal mine. (<-- Long Story.) I recently spoke to my old instructor at Community College he said I only need to take 6 cles to earn an ociates Degree in Computer Networking. I also bought the Cisco Certification Library ICND1 + ICND2 books. Should I go back and get the degree or just study and p the CCNA? What type of Salary can I expect starting out? I want a Career not just another job. I do speak German if that helps me any. Thanks.
