Why does my Xbox 360 Rapid fire kit keep knifing in Call of Duty?

Hello everyone. Last night I installed a Dual on rapid fire kit in my Wireless Xbox 360 controller. I wired everything from the microchip out to the connection points and so on exactly the way it said. IT matches the pictures. But when I play games, it repeatably presses what ever the function of the right og stick does when it is pressed down. Therefore in call of duty, the knifing doesn't stop. I don't touch anything, it just does it with no interaction to the controller at all. So even if I try to walk around and stuff, the controller keeps on knifing. Does any technology specialist know what might be going wrong?
