Yes this is partly true,to be representative of people whether in embly Or parliament, minimum amount needed to contest is any where between Rs 3 crores to 10 crores, can a common can he afford it? After getting elected these representatives instead of serving people they become corrupt to get back their money ,make more for their coming elections.But there are some execeptions like Manmohan sigh.Chidambaram& Pranab mukerje.who had really worked for the betterment of society.
