Ok I know this question should not be on this section but you get a lot more answers on here?

anyway here goes. about 1 hour ago my whole place shook of an earth tremour. I live in Melbourne Australia and the whole of Melbourne shook hard for a few seconds, so did that happen where you are too? or was it just Melbourne? I was freaked out because I did not know what was happening then I turned on the news and it was on the news. Now could this mean of a pending earth quake? If so I am scared. can somebody answer this please?
