Why didn't protestant revolution destroy vatican?

In the begining of 15th century czech catholic bishop jan hus was burned at stake for speaking against idolatrous practices of catholic church.His followers taborite raiders instead of destroying vatican,made their route north capturing much catholic land finally erecting protestant flag on baltic shore.Later protestants and catholics killed each other over religion.Yet not a single protestant tried to destroy vatican the cause of all war.If prots had destroyed vatican and catholic church at that time we would not have seen 2 world wars,and many ideologies like communism and feminism confusing and destroying mankind today.
